Canadian Solar Wins Two Solar Farms Totaling 18.7 MW In Ontario
August 28, 2012
After announcing a disappointing Q2 2012 earnings announcement almost two weeks ago, Canadian Solar (CSIQ :NASDAQ) is seeking to rebound by working with Penn Energy Renewables to build two solar farms in Ontario, Canada.
The two projects, totaling 18.7 megawatts (MW) will begin construction this quarter and are expected to be online in the summer of 2013.
Ontario-based Penn Energy Renewables has several projects in the pipeline waiting for approval. Today’s announcement could be the start of a promising relationship for Canadian Solar.
Shares of Canadian Solar were up 0.99 percent in early afternoon trading.
