The Dirt on TechDirt – It’s a Real Company

Our friend Mike Masnick, CEO of TechDirt, gets a nice write-up in the San Francisco Chronicle. We were surprised to learn that TechDirt has revenues to support 12 staff members. Impressive. It’s one thing to get a lot of traffic as TechDirt does, but quite another to parlay that into subscription-based services that have driven TechDirt to become a real company.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey’s Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
