Bono Snubbed While On Tour
April 7, 2005
The Management of game-maker Eidos today announced that they are backing a takeover bid from SCI. Rock idol Bono of U2 and his firm Elevation Partners had made a bid for Eidos but the bid was challenged by a higher bid from rival game firm SCI. We expect this one might take another turn or two. Perhaps Bono can throw some expensive tickets for U2’s sold-out tour to help grease the wheels in his favor.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey’s Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
