NewsGator Snaps Up FeedDemon

NewsGator, a leading RSS company we first profiled last September, continues to grow up. The company just bought (so reported Om Malik) competitor FeedDemon.

Given the small size of so many of the players in the RSS field, look for this M&A wavelet to continue. It makes much more sense to integrate competing technologies/services at an early stage, assuming there’s enough overlap in the first place. Also, many of the “companies” in this space are really just glorified engineering projects that will fare much better as parts of a more comprehensive whole.

    Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey’s Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
