More About Those Angels

Inc. managed to unearth the following interesting stat from academia: “Last year alone, 42,000 angels plowed $18.1 billion into early-stage companies, compared with a mere $304 million plunked down by VCs, according to a recent study by the University of New Hampshire’s Center for Venture Research.” Inc. ads that angels are increasingly picking up early stage slack from VCs who are more and more focused on later stage deals. Also, angels are tougher customers – although Inc. struggles to prove this assertion.
